The 1st Young Scientist Programme (YSP) Event was held in Athens on the 10th and 11th of June 2009 in Athens, at the side of the HIRF SE Meeting and the EMC Europe 2009. The YSP was hosted by the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). The YSP is an HIRF SE project action aimed at educating young scientists on EMC related topics.

During the event, a total of seven (7) lectures ranging from EMC fundamentals to modern day EMC analysis applications were presented, while 22 participants attended some or all of the associated lectures.

According to the feedback received at the end of the event from the participants, through the collection of the associated evaluation forms, the event can be largely considered a success.
